Horace Mann is known as the father of education, and his influence is still felt in today’s schools and in society. Who wants a quality education but just cannot afford? Where do people want to start their career? These questions become more intense during high school. Most people know that to have a career, they must have a college education. But college has major obstacles itself such as financial distress.
I. A small amount of anxiety can be a good thing. A lot of anxiety is when it becomes a problem. “The dividing line is when the fear becomes so great that it causes a lot of distress and/or it makes the person not able to do certain things” says Dr. Bridget Walker. Having a constant or persistent feeling of fear and distress, is known as anxiety.
1. The triple vulnerability theory of anxiety disorders involves integrating several psychological factors together to explain the advancement of an anxiety disorder. The first factor is called generalized biological vulnerability. This vulnerability explains the development of anxiety through an inheritance of personality traits that could increase a person’s chances of developing an anxiety disorder but not just through biological inheritance independently.

Back then I was always looking for an explanation as to why I felt certain ways and did certain things. For example, if I thought that I heard or saw something that couldn’t have actually been there, I would automatically suspect that I was having symptoms of schizophrenia. Or if I was happy one day and sad the next, I was most definitely bipolar.
The experience of anxiety is common and universal. It is not an emotion restricted to the economically deprived nor to the politically oppressed. Anxiety is an inescapable part of the human condition, for life on all its levels, from the international and governmental to the domestic and personal, is marked with uncertainty, perplexity, and stress. Many may deny their personal anxiety, or at least the intensity of it (even to themselves) for a variety of reasons, such as, the desire to avoid embarrassment, the sense of pride, the fear of rejection, the threat and unease of vulnerability, etc; notwithstanding, nearly everyone experiences anxiety to some degree.
