Apple v FBI is a court case involving the San Bernardino terror attack, This Terror attack killed 14 Innocent civilians and the two perpetrators Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen malik. The two terrorist’s motives are still under investigation but it’s believed they Supported ISIS and that they were radicalized two years before the attack. When they did the attack on December 2nd 2015. The attack killed 14 people and others were injured before both being killed by police.

The two terrorists had several phones with them they destroyed all of the phones except for one IPhone this IPhone is what the court case is about. The FBI found the iPhone Owned by San Bernardino county and they realized that the phone was locked so they asked apple to give them the data so apple gave them the ICloud backup. The backup was made weeks before the attack so the FBI wanted apple to force a backup on the phone so apple told them connect the phone to a recognized Internet connection so they could force an iCloud backup. …show more content…

What this means is the phone and the cloud can’t recognize each other. Even if they changed the password back it would be a different encryption code. So the FBI went to apple and asked can you give us the data apple said no because the IPhone is End to end encrypted. Then the FBI asked them can’t you make a custom IOS to disable these security functionalities for this phone apple said no. Since apple said no the FBI they went to a judge and asked can you give us a court order to force apple to make this IOS. The Judge ordered apple to comply with the FBI’s demand Apple said no and is Appealing the court
