Nation or belonging nation is a new political element. After the French revolution, world experienced a new political phenomena. This phenomena called nationalism. Almost every empire, kingdom or race effected it. Ottoman empire is one of them. Ottoman empire destroy because of nationalist movement of their ethnic subject. Greece, Bulgaria and other Balkans subject revolt against ottoman empire. In this era the Arab nationalist movement was also significant. This article is about Arab nationalism and some assessment of Arab nationalism. In first, I will explain a historical evolution about Arab nationalism and then I will explain some assessment about Arab nationalism. However, in Egypt with the effect of English mandate, they emphasize homeland freedom and sovereignty of their nation. ı think , in this era ,governed by the other nation's dynasty is become insulting issue. because of this, Arabs affected by nationalistic idea of west and revolt to gain their independence. however, after the ww1 , although Arabs accomplish their independence from ottoman empire, they could not declare their sovereignty because of England and French imperialistic idea. After 1940 Arabs start to establish free national states. I want to continue Cemal Abdul Naseer who is the second president of Egypt and supporter of Arab nationalism. He was born in Alexandria and graduated military academy. In this military academy Naseer found a free commissioned movement with the help of Enver Sedat. In 1952 , Nasır and their friends seize king Faruk's kingship with no bloody coup. Nasır's ideology is not just a nationalism in Egypt. He thought that all Arab countries must be unified. However, before the unified of Arab countries, he must save Egypt from western(English) dependency. After this point Naseer fight with France England and Israel. This war broke Naseer's strong idealistic manner. After this war, Naseer resign but he have to give up their decision for people they love. however, although Naseer continue their duty, he never be as in the past. Naseer started to apply balance policy. Although Naseer behave cowardly in their last time, he impress a lot of people. Now let me move on two of these people who affected Cemal Abdul Naseer. Firstly ı am going to tell Hafeez Esad and his baas party. In 1958 Syria and Egypt unified as an united Arab republic. Also Iraq attend the UAR thanks to nationalist baas party. However, Iraq leave this union because of instability of Iraq politics. At this time in Syria , government change because of military codetta. After this coup Syria leave UAR. When Syria leave the UAR, Hafeez Esad was a air force commander and he feel disturbed about new government UAR decision. new government want to create a socialist transformation but Hafeez Esad want to create a nationalist movement with the effect of Naseer.
