Are violent video games affecting minors? Many studies have shown that violent video games have been affecting the behaviour in a negative way. Children that play violent video games become more aggressive. Due to this, many schools have had an increase in bullying, fighting and aggressive behavior. As a result of this the following question is being asked, “Should violent video games be sold to minors?” The simple answer to this question is no. Violent video games should not be sold to minors as they increase violent behavior, can result in mass killings, and elevate aggression.

Playing violent video games causes more aggression, bullying, and fighting. 60% of middle school boys and 40% of middle school girls who played at least one Mature-rated game hit or beat up someone. According to an article published by The New York Times, most children aged thirteen agreed that violent video games increase fighting and bullying.
