Are You Ready for College? Many students who will soon be taking the SAT test and will see a change within it. There are many new ways to study for your SAT and they can help immensely. The new test is also now a text-based test, which leans more onto your reading skills. You won’t have to worry, the question area has now been descended to only four to five answers; no need to worry about the guessing game any more than, right? Studying prior to the test will help you and using your resources wisely, might help you in the long run. Firstly, studying using local or online resources can help you greatly. It will help you get a better feel for the test and what you can accomplish. For example, you can use the Kaplan Test Prep, which is one of the largest testing preparation programs in the United States. There is also Khan Academy, an organization based on education, provides 24/7 assistance to students and their families for the new SAT. This means that the test now depends on your reading skills even more than the past. The only thing that should help you prepare for the test, is looking over some of the sample questions and try figuring them out. Sample questions are included on the preparation sites and on the SAT website. With practice, the test will become much easier, when the time comes. Using sample questions may help you taking the SAT test. Lastly, there are lower answers for the questions. The fewer the answers mean a drop in the guesses to make. There is no longer a penalty for guessing on the SAT test because the scoring scale has been switched back to the older scale. The older scale was 2,400 and now it is 1,600, back to the original, better older than new. The scale was changed because of guessing. Scanty questions mean less of not knowing the answer on the SAT.
