Gun control has a been an ongoing battle in America. Sides of approval and disapproval are equal and both bring very valid points. The March For Our Lives movement stems from school shootings that have occured over the years in America. In this current time the student have become the spokespeople for gun control. Personally as a student I think we need to face reality and ask the question: what is happens in the school that lead to the school shootings?
For the schools to be safer we need to pay more attention to the students. Every school shooting has one common factor, the personality of the offender. Their personality is shy and their a loner, has little to no friends, and was bullied or abused at one point or another. This person can attest that the majority of their bullying occured in school. Imagine the difference it would of made if the loner was asked to joins his peers at lunch. One can only think their story would have had a different ending. I propose that teacher and students take courses that aid them identifying strange behavioral patterns in children. The course could help save a child from fall of the ledge.

Schools need to have a concrete drill in the event of a school shooting. More importantly the drills should be practiced spontaneously. The issue if find in my school in this drill is not only the structure, but the fact that i am notified that it will occur sometime before lunch. As a student is I am ever in the situation I would want to be prepared. I feel that a lot of my peers do not take the drill seriously because they know it is just a practice run. Students need to be caught off guard so that if truly faced with the situation they are able to process their
