Gun Rights in America The Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights grants Americans the right to bear arms. Opinions of this vary, but I believe the safety of ourselves and posterity are above all. Criminals throughout the US take advantage of this privilege and use weapons for violence and evil purposes that should be unspeakable to our world, such as murder, robbery, and torture. Owning rifles or pistols ourselves is the only way to counter these treacheries.
Gun Laws There have been many cases of murder, robbery, and rape that could have been stopped if more places allowed carrying of guns. If carriers could take a gun to more places themselves there would be less crimes in those areas due to trained carriers being able to protect others. If the laws were to be greatly increased, fewer areas would allow carriers; giving criminals, who do not abide by gun laws and would acquire them illegally, more opportunities to commit crimes knowing the people are defenseless. With more, strict laws in place most people would be unable to get a gun to defend their homes and families, while criminals are still able to get guns through illegal activities.

Raging like a swollen river, the Gun Control debate has quickly taken center stage in our country. Swirling in a pandemonium of facts, fallacies, emotions, and lies, how can we pick through this issue from a Christian perspective? Even the Bible offers no direct answer. However, by wading with our knowledge of sinful nature into this river, a glimmer of light appears. Once imbedded on a firm foundation, we can view through the crystal lens of God’s Word and utilize the logic that He has given us to sort through the mud and find the nugget of truth.
We will not be silenced “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” These 27 words have meant a lot in the news lately. You see Facebook posts, tweet after tweet about this. I am not here to argue with you, but I feel like only one side of this topic is being discussed.
The topic of gun control and firearm regulation has been subject to heated debate for a long while. Both sides have potent arguments, however the core of this issue ultimately boils down to the constitution itself. More specifically the second amendment. This argument quickly becomes quite complicated because gun control and firearm regulation concerns not only the right of citizens, but more importantly the safety of citizens. The second amendment helps to guarantee an imperative right belonging to all citizens.
Also in another article, Goldberg said, “ Guns are responsible for roughly 30,000 deaths a year in America; more than half of those deaths are suicides. In 2010, 606 people, 62 of them children younger than 15, died in accidental shootings” (Goldberg). Gun needs to be in control due to increasing of shootings, suicide, and
A weapon in the wrongs hands is the maximum danger humanity can face. Nowadays, violence and delinquency in society are viewed as the maximum problem solver. Humanity is full of chaos; hate and envy seize our souls. Guns are the ultimate security for some citizens but for others, these add to a feeling of defenselessness. Throughout history, any topic related to guns means a plethora of problems.
Anti Gun Control In today’s world the way people perceive things in the media is really messed up. Many believe that the reason behind the gun violence in the United States is the gun itself, but really it the person behind the it. In most states a person will have to go an intense background checks just to purchase a gun; to be able to carry the gun on your person is another story. Many people who conceal and carry many have to go through an even more intense background check and classes.
Unfortunately, these tragedies don’t just befall teenagers, they also involve younger children. One crime in particular was the murder of eighty-seven-year-old Marie Smothers, who was shot and killed in a mobile home park in Slaughter, Louisiana by her eight-year-old grandson. According to the police this terrible tragedy may have been influenced by Grand Theft Auto IV, since the child was playing this video game prior to the homicide. In this case the link between violence and video games seems more prevalent than other crimes because relatives of the victim and friends of the family said that “the victim and the juvenile had a normal and loving relationship.” (Lauren Russell)
The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. These school shootings have caused an outcry for more gun control, specifically in relation to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.
Gun control has been a heated debate for several decades, recently, the discussion surrounding this matter has intensified. The argument seems to be divided into liberal and conservative views, thoughts, and values. A majority of liberals desire stricter gun laws, required mental health check-ups, and longer waiting periods when it comes to purchasing a gun. However, the general census among the Republicans is less governmental interference because they feel that there is already too much governmental control involved. The Republican Party often does not want stricter gun laws because the problem at hand is not the gun itself, but the individual wielding the gun.
Gun laws This topic brings conflicts among us people in the United States. It’s been an issue for awhile now and it’s going to be an issue on into the future. Some people feel like it is their right to bear arms and have a deadly weapon for protection.
Death occurs everyday. One may even walk down the street with the daunting fear of getting shot in our peaceful nation. 68% of deaths by weapon are due to guns each year. This staggering amount should already frighten someone who goes out and walks with their kids or takes a jog or even goes grocery shopping. This year it is projected that for the first time in decades a gun will have killed more than a motor-vehicle.
Gun Control Gun control has become a polarizing and controversial issue around the globe. There have been many reported issues of mass shootings both in schools and in the public, making it a hot button issue. Proponents argue that, if the government strictly controls the ownership of guns, such tragedies can be prevented. Most Americans have an obsession with guns because the law allows them to do so. Therefore, they are always ready to scoff at anyone trying to control gun ownership.
