When it comes to learning how to drive, many people would argue what age is a good age to start learning. 14 is a common age for many states, and most people are fine with this age. There are some, however, who argue that 14 is too young to drive. Statistics show that 14 is a great age to start driving because it gives the parents and students a sense of control, it helps the students prepare for driving siblings and friends, and it gives parents a source of motivation for the students.

Furthermore, Webb also states that the sooner the student learns to drive, the quicker they can help parents out. They can help drive siblings to sports practice, drive them to school, and even help Mom or Dad on their late night grocery store runs.
This information supports the argument because many people would agree that having older children to help drive family around is especially helpful and needed. If the parents get stuck at work, or their car breaks down, they can rely on the driver of the family to come pick them up and bring them home. This will help comfort the parents, knowing that they have a responsible driver coming to help them, and that they won’t be on the side of the road all night.
