Is Abraham a murderer?

Is Abraham a murderer or a knight of faith? Abraham is a biblical character who was tested by God. God told Abraham to take his one and only son, Isaac, up onto a mountain and sacrifice him to God. God gave him a son after him and his wife were infertile for decades. Abraham needed a sacrifice to show him his love for God and he chose the most precious thing he had in the world which was his son. Saying if Abraham is a murderer or a knight of faith is a controversial dilemma. It can be said yes for either side depending on personal feelings on each side of the subject. Was he a murderer because he planned to sacrifice his son or is he a knight of faith because he followed and obeyed God? In my eyes, Abraham is a murderer. He was told to sacrifice his only son and instead of killing his son, Isaac, he killed a ram instead. He killed this animal instead of his son, but he did not kill the ram for food.
