Muscatine iowa is concidering building a public dog park in a residential area of the city. The park would consist of an acre of open land surrounded by a fence where dog owners can unleash their dogs for play and exersie. Sounds like a reasonable request to consider... but is it bound to be a burden for tax payers and the everyday life of a resident in the city or are we in desperate need af a dog park? In the city about 68% of city residents inhabits rental units.

The attacks that are present in most articles are typically of aggressive dogs targeting other animals.
Dogs that get exercise have a better mental and physical health. According to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals states dogs that dont get exercise act out by barking and destroying things at home. Bad behavior in dogs is caused by being lonely and the lack of exercise. Having a dog park will benefit both the dog and the owner.
News Daily published a story about how a stray Pit Bull saved a woman in Georgia and was stabbed five times in the process (Blankinger K. 2016). If the media continues to expose these heroic stories of Pit Bulls and didn’t have such a closed-minded view of them as a breed, more people would be able to see all the good things that Pit Bulls do every day. Pit Bulls would no longer be associated with gangs, drug dealers and dog fighting anymore due to their new social status. These things would begin to fade away due to dogs themselves being trained and socialized. Meaning the dogs aren’t going to be let off leash to run around the neighborhood to even have a chance to interact with other animals or people in an uncontrolled
Having public dog parks inside cities is a great idea simply because the benefits out-weigh the consequences. I believe this because a public dog park would raise property values, lower the amount of dog-bites, and create a safe pleasant area for people to let there dog run free. An argument against the dog park may be that "It would cost taxpayers too much money!" but I say not.
A dog park has no place in a residential area. Now a dog park would give a dog a place to exercise and play it would be a disturbance to the residents that live close to the dog park. Not only would there be pleanty of dogs that would be barking wether that be at another dog or a starnger, it would not be the best sound to hear all day everyday. A dogs bark avereges at 75 decibles biggers dogs can bark at 100 decibles which "even through a closed window, a dogs bark can reach a noise level that is mentally upsetting". Reports/complaints about this have come from Reston,Virgina and Chandler, Arizona.
Building a dog park in neighborhoods could be many things, to include good and bad. Personally, I believe that people shouldn't have to live within areas of dog parks, as it is quite disturbing to get any peace and quiet while listening to dogs bark all day. On the other hand, it can be beneficial to those with animals. espcially in an apartment setting.

During the first world war women began receiving additional rights, allowing them to have greater, more active positions in Canada’s economy. This change in women’s roles occurred during the 20th century, when fewer men were able to work as they had to fight in the war. World War I was a treacherous time of loss and sacrifice in Canadian history. However, the first world war allowed people to see women in a new light. This change in perspective gave women the opportunity to show society that they could benefit Canada and support the war in many different ways.
In my opinion, I believe public dog parks should be built in cities. The first reason is because dogs need exercise. Exercise is incredibly important to a dogs mental and physical health. It is also directly correlated with a dog's behavior. Essentially, the more cooped up the dog is, the more the owner and fellow neighbors pay. Dogs that aren't let out to exercise or socialize will begin to act out through various ways, such as sudden potty training issues and barking. Not only is a dog park beneficial to the pooch and the owner, it's also beneficial to the city.
Animal Rights Some people assume that just because animals cannot speak that they cannot feel pain. It is not okay to torture living beings that have their own thoughts and breathe the exact same air us humans breathe. It is unjust and selfish to stand by and take no action while everyday hundreds if not thousands of innocent animals die without reason. No matter how much fur or how many limbs the creature has; it should be treated as equal as a person. A heart beat is a heartbeat regardless of the body it’s in.
