Gun violence is one of the most controversial issues in the United States. On one hand, there are those who believe that stricter controls on the possession and distribution of firearms will reduce gun violence; on the other hand, others believe that stricter gun laws will do more harm than good. There is data that shows the positive effects of gun control in combating gun violence, as well as data that shows the negative effects of gun control in combating gun violence.
