Since its ratification in 1791, the United States Bill of Rights has often been called into questions. The amendment that has been questioned the most recently is the second amendment, which allows Americans to own and bear arms. America is known for having a strong gun culture, that is to say firearms are widely used in different fields: for self-defense, hunting, and even for recreational uses, such as target shooting. Today, an estimated 30 millions people in the United States own firearms. But recent mass shootings have divided the population between those who support gun control (usually liberals) and those who are for gun rights (typically conservatives).
