I understand about this since I happen to be a 19 year old college student and I consider myself responsible. But when I changed once in the public campus bathroom, I left my iPhone on top of the soap dispenser and didn’t notice until 10 minutes later when my pocket felt empty. Now consider all of the dangers that could have happened if that would have been a forearm and somebody found it, they could have stolen it, shot themselves or another as an accident, or wanted to kill someone. Students away from home have a tendency to have a destructive nature and the number of drunken violence’s would increase from what it is now with more deadly outcomes. Anti-gun individuals argue that television, video games, family history, mental issues, drugs, and alcohol can all contribute to gun violence and should be considered when discussing the issue of guns on college campuses. Young adults in college live on their own for the first time and no matter their background they are not mentally ready for all the issues that concealed carry imposes. Furthermore, they become wrapped up in socializing and partying without their parents being there to guide them at all. Unfortunately, in today’s society, there is bullying, harassment, sexual assault, drinking, drugs, verbal and physical abuse all happening on college campuses and generally the students don’t report because of the negative outcome they may get from their peers. Therefore, if you allow these young adults to carry guns on campus, you will most likely end up with a shooting. Through surveys and studies most college students said that they wouldn’t carry a gun on campus if allowed, because they did not feel comfortable doing carrying on
