Love is a strongly forcible and binding emotion that can, in its extremist conditions, cause one to sacrifice or do things that one wouldn’t normally do for another. When two are joined together in matrimony, the unconditional passion that one has for another often results in parasitic practices and taking advantage of the other. Once those who were once united in matrimony are separated, one carries the strong emotions that one once had for each other and tend to use them against each other. In most instances, the “parasite” of the relationship becomes the rebel who seeks to damage one’s spouse’s fate. Jason goes behind Medea’s back and puts his chance to advance on a social and political level before his bond with Medea and decides to marry Glaunce. Creon fears that Medea, being publically emotional, would cause harm to his family so he demanded that she be exiled. Medea asked Jason to beg for her mercy because of her children being exiled with her. Medea pretends to be acceptable of Jason’s decision and gains his confidence by offering the queen poisoned gifts that were sent by the children. Medea later stabbed her children to death. Medea leaves the scene in a dragon-pulled chariot with the bodies of her children. Medea successfully got the revenge from Jason by taking everything that Jason had through death. This story makes men realize the psychological impact that one has on a woman. When one realizes that a woman is a revenge-oriented being when heartbroken, people will consider the harm that they are doing to themselves before abandoning their wives. When more men are able to realize the psychological effect that they have on their wives and children’s mothers, they will be more likely to try to salvage their
