Medea is an instant drama that adversely affects ones perspective upon motherhood, love and revenge. This has often been sampled within a myriad of plays in theatre. Specificallythe honorable Euripides tragedy in Medea has been deemed one of the great works in Greek culture. Within the Greek drama one can note that Medea portrays a masculine personality very different from the traditional Greek woman. The position of Medea was superior and so was her personality that instilled in her the pride of such self which initially was the motive for such climax embedded within the tragic playwright. (20-21)” Revenge is one of the main elements within the play and here quoted from Medea is an expression of her hatred for Jason in essence relating her children to the character of Jason. She deems her children cursed by the man of Jason, resulting in her motive for the death of her children. In depth the children signify the love for Jason that Medea had and with the departure of the love for him goes the attachment of the children as well.She implies the death of Jason and the children that they baredtogether. Symbolism is evident within Greek dramas and such symbolism of the children bring forth the psychologicalimbalance of Medea within this drama that even adversely affect her cognitive decision making in the abolishment of her children resembling the heartbreak of Jason’s love
