December 7th, 1941 was Pearl Harbor. It was 7:55 am when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. The atomic bomb was just. All the things that Japan did to us, including Pearl Harbor, were the "fuse" that lit the fire or woke the giant. This was good for the US because it gave us something to look forward to and fall back on. What was meant by that is, showing people in the future that we did something to keep them off our backs or trying to get in charge of the Pacific again in time. Pearl Harbor was a big part of this because that was the main base for our planes. We also left it unattended, so they probably went after it because no one or a few people were watching the guard. Another reason is that if Japan had defeated or taken Pearl Harbor, they would have been in charge of the Pacific, and we didn’t want that. There were 2,403 casualties at Pearl Harbor, and 135,000 people died in Hiroshima and 64,000 in Okinawa as a result of the two bombings.
