Argumentative Essay On Six Flags Great Adventure

858 Words4 Pages

Six Flags Great Adventure—the place where people of all ages find fun. Six Flags Great had hired my team and I in having an opportunity in creating a ride. Comparatively, The ride must be a “safe yet death defying” roller coaster that the consumers shall appreciate. Before the roller coaster is released to the public, my team and I will need to have our design approved by Sir Isaac Gallagher, Sir Albert Hickey, and Sir Darwin Nemeth. Given the amazing opportunity, we have brought it upon us to make such prototype. To start, the prototype includes a big drop. The big drop would give out an abundance of kinetic energy that can be used throughout the rest of the roller coaster. After the big drop, the riders shall experience a small loop that …show more content…

We had discussed on several designs that could be the contender until we had reached a certain verdict. Our final redesign had resulted in keeping the big drop. Similarly, the drop would give a large quantity of kinetic energy. The gravitational potential energy from the top of the jump to the next obstacle will allow the cart or riders to ride through the whole track. Additionally, there would be a small loop after the drop that will catch the riders on their toes. Next, the cart will continue to go on another big drop, leading to a small jump. The small jump shall lead the cart into spinning into a twirl, making the riders dizzy. As a result, the cart will go upon a minimal jump. The ride from there releases the rest of the potential energy that the cart has until the finishing of the ride. Before, the prototype included the cart not finishing through the track. After several remodels, the cart had finished the whole track with an average of 3.80 seconds. Also, the wooden ball’s weight—0.7g—had taken the longest time to get through the track. With the regular prototype, the mass of the wooden marble wouldn’t have give off enough energy to finish the track. Contrastingly, the redesign has many drops that contain plenty of gravitational potential energy, allowing the marbles to gain more kinetic energy as they go. Also, the several aspects of the roller coaster allow the cart to go through the whole track rather than the
