In conclusion the cold war was a very long “War of Words” between the two superpowers. The Cold War started because of the economic and government differences. Harry S. Truman was the president entering the cold war and wanted to come up with a way to help aid non communist countries by what he called the Truman Doctrine. The Soviet leader was Joseph Stalin and USSR taking over Poland, Eastern Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, and others. To prevent the U.S from interfering, Stalin came up with the idea of a Berlin Blockade. The blockade failed because the U.S found a way to transport food, clean water, medicine and other goods using.
