“Those who make the peaceful revolution impossible make the violent revolution inevitable.” -John F. Kennedy. Peace is a national concept that many of the population of the world want and/or need. However, with lightness, there is always a darkness to match it, more specifically, dealing with guns. Gun control is enforced strongly to keep many countries safe. Even though most may oppose the implement of that particular law in America, leaders try to formulate gun control laws to reduce gun violence, but they don’t have the support to do so. Justin King, a reporter, says, “There is a spike in murders immediately after a ban, but it is short lived” (par. 2), and he gives statistics of 3 countries, more specifically the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia, that had authorized an embargo on guns that show an increase but then dropped back down to a normal rate. People tell us everyday that the purpose of a gun control law is to completely halt gun owners from shooting and killing others (King par. 3). This shows that King probably thought that a gun control law didn’t make much of an effect for those three countries. Because of that, maybe he didn’t think that laws like that would do much for a country’s safety. For background checks, they are sort of similar to the start of gun control. “Everything you need to manufacture firearms is available at Home Depot,” said by Justin King (par. 7). With research, he could be possibly right, and if this is true, then, having a gun control law in America wouldn’t do much because you could make you own guns and hide them. The way that a gun control law would work is if the government takes away an important store that most everyone in America uses for their daily lives. When gun control is in effect, there can be many different outcomes that could be good or
