First, the writer Title IX explains female athletes are been treated second-class for long enough and should pass of inequalities and biases of girls. The writer also clarifies that girls doing sports make them healthier, physically, and emotionally. Other girls that don’t play sports are less likely to use of drugs. In addition, she notes a former Stanford University basketball player Mariah says, strength and independence of things girls learn from sports, the opportunities that are changing women.

(And Not Just on TV)” The article examines the societal debate that has been talk for a while: should women play sports alongside men? After a certain age the opportunity for girls to play specific sports are inherently very limited. Women are forced into sports like softball, field hockey, and powderpuff football, while the range of male sports seems unlimited.
In today’s day and age, many, if not most, people enjoy sports either by playing, coaching or spectating. At a certain point in time, not everyone was able to do these things. During the Civil Rights Movement, sports were turned upside down and sports became accessible to a wider range of people. Many important athletes such as Jackie Robinson came out of the era and opened the public’s eye. Several became activists or coaches and changed sports in a way that hadn’t been done before.
However, there is still more work to be done in regards to athletics. By a lack of funding and coverage the media is choosing to highlight a female athlete’s femininity over her achievements –negatively affecting the nation’s young female
If softball does not make it back into the Olympics soon, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) will be robbing softball players of their dreams. There is a good deal of little girls in the world that would do anything to be part of and Olympic team. Lauren Gibson (an infielder for the U.S. softball team) agrees with this statement when she says she wants “for everybody else who dreams about playing in the Olympics, to at least have the ability to have that chance” (qtd. In Hays). Softball should be in the Olympics because it has enough competition from other countries, it needs the chance to be able to spread worldwide, and it is desired by the future Olympic hosts, like Japan.

All this was possible because you trained hard no days off. Suddenly you have a new rival that’s stronger and faster than you will ever be.
It’s a Thursday night and the girls volleyball team has a game. All the girls are super excited and tell everyone they encounter, “Don’t forget, volleyball game tonight at 6pm sharp!” The gym is all decorated and has streamers hanging from everywhere. The time has come for the game to start and the audience is made up of parents and siblings. A few friends of players are scattered around the stands, but the majority of our fans are parents.
Women athletes and women workers do not get the recognition they deserve. Men especially, look down upon women when it comes to their appearances, their knowledge and a women's physical and mental strength. In certain cases, a woman loses out on a job in the sports industry because she is exactly a woman. A male trainer can refuse to train women because of the parts her body has. Men and women have grown up in a world with the mindset that women know less than men when it comes to sports.
For the better half of this the United States Women’s National soccer team has been making a tremendous amount of progress in women’s soccer. More specifically since the national team bringing home the World Cup trophy back to the U.S for the time in sixteen years. The national team has captured the attention of the nation with women’s soccer and in response has voiced that women’s soccer is here to stay, that they are just as good as the men, if not even better. For instance, in just putting focus on their performance in the World Cup is something to be proud of as a country.
Sexism in sports is a wide ranged topic that many people have ignored for most of their lives. Throughout the decades, women have been tossed away and not been allowed to do so many things in their life, that men have been allowed to do. For example, decades ago, women were never allowed to hunt, be seperate from their husbands, or even play sports til the 1900’s. Their only job was to sit home and care for the kids while the men did all the dirty work. Now, our society has separated boys sports from women sports in a big way that has changed lives, with money.
There should be multi gender sport because no matter what gender you are you can play any sport even if it’s dangerous or not. Your gender doesn’t matter if you should be able to play something or not . There should also be multi race sports because the color of your skin doesn’t matter and you have the right to do any sport you want. And your should be able to participate and have fun while playing this sport and not get bullied. First, let’s talk about Why should there be multi gender sports?
Someone once said, “believe it and you can do it.” Well, I believe that schools should have girls football. I think this because girls football would make girls feel more equal to guys, girls have the same strength as boys, and football is one of the only sports without a girls team. From centuries ago women were not equal to men. Men would go out and hunt, and women would stay home, cook, and take care of the children.

It is a well known certainty that even in the current 21st century, the reality is that women in general still experience difficulty and discrimination from the conventional gender norms that hinder with their engagement in sports. In order to make sure that gender equity in sports is maintained, the gender ideals that are correlated to sport must be examined thoroughly and effectively before any succeeding action takes
Gender role is a social role based on behaviors and attitude to be considerably acceptable for people based on their perceived sex or sexuality. This is determined based on how a female and male should think, speak, dress, and interact within context. Not only does it play a role in sports but every other aspect from education to working. This has been an issue is society for a long time now because many women have been discriminated. This is by being unable to participate in sports in high school and in college.
