A constant struggle for many is the lack of independence and oppression. The same could be said for Turkey before Mustafa’s help to get them their full independence. Mustafa fought for them in more ways than one, and led them after it was established. Turkey was originally owned by the Ottoman Turks, but was defeated by their national hero, and later president Mustafa. Turkey is full of rich culture and has many iconic structures located there.

“It is generally not known in the world that, in the years preceding 1916, there was a concerted effort to eliminate all the Armenian people, probably one of the greatest tragedies that ever befell any group. And there weren’t any Nuremberg trials”(Carter, 1987). Jimmy Carter, the thirty-ninth president of the United States, said this quote at the White House reception honoring Armenian Americans in May of 1978. It shows how little is known about the Armenian Genocide and that the survivors never received closure like the Holocaust survivors did with the Nuremberg Trials. During the Armenian Genocide, which lasted from 1915 until 1916, 1.2 million Armenians were brutally murdered.
The Armenian Genocide By:Diona Mehmeti Due to the decline in the Ottoman Empire’s power and influence they sided with Germany and Austria in WWI as a final hope to regain what they had lost. The Ottoman Empire was mostly Muslim but had a small Christian population, the Armenians. A very nationalistic group in the Ottoman Empire known as the Young Turks began to want the empire to be “modernized and be cleansed”. They believed that in order to make the Ottoman Empire pure, that they must get rid of the Armenians.
The Armenian Genocide caused generations of pain and loss of the rich heritage of the Armenians. Not only did the genocide cause major human losses, but also caused a major psychological and moral blow at the attempt to exterminate the Armenian nation from the root. The Armenian Genocide resulted with around 1.5 million Armenians massacred, with only around half a million surviving the genocide. The loss of family, friends and the Armenian community, the genocide had a staggering blow on the Armenian race. The survivors escaped with merely their lives and the horrid memories of the cruel and inhumane nature of the Young Turks.
Muslim empires in the Middle East governed throughout all the known land and were very powerful. Two such empires are the Safavids and the Ottoman. While those two Muslim empires and had similar aspects, they also had very different interpretations of those aspects that made them different from one another. These two distinct societies both differed and resembled one another.

“One thing was clear: Absolutely everybody in the city was supposed to be dead, regardless of what they were, and that anybody that moved in it represented a flaw in the design” (Vonnegut). During World War II, the advancements in bombing led to an untapped potential for destruction, a force that would soon be pushed to its very limits. Many countries used extensive bombing in the hopes of destroying enemy military bases, ammunition factories, and supply lines, but also to crush their population’s morale. The concept of “area” bombing began to emerge within the Allied airstrikes, which was the tactic of targeting entire enemy cities, including the civilian portions (History, Bombing of Dresden). One of the most controversial bombings in World War II occurred in February, 1945, in Dresden, Germany.
In my opinion people treat others horribly for many reasons. Some reasons are such as greed, power, hate or even because that’s how they were raised or treated. I also think that another reason is because of fear. During the holocaust fear could be one thing that could eat you alive if you were a Jew. If you were Jewish you might have found yourself hiding from the Natzi’s in fear of getting sent to a concentration camp.
The Holocaust v. Armenian Genocide Genocide is defined as “the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation” (Dictionary.com). Genocide has eight stages:classification, symbolization, dehumanization, organization, polarization, preparation, extermination, and denial. Genocide has taken place many times throughout history. Two prominent genocides are that of the Armenians and that of the Jews and other minority groups during the Holocaust. There are considerable resemblances between the Armenian genocide and the Holocaust, especially in the nature of the genocides, a skewed view of the group persecuted by the governing group, and the ‘purposes’ behind both, but these mass killings

Throughout the world there are many different cultures and just one aspect that gives culture its uniqueness is the dialect or language. Language is composed of many different symbols that everyone in a given culture understands, they have a universal meaning. Just because one culture has a symbol for understanding something, doesn 't mean that another culture will share that same meaning. Language for many cultures is what generated that culture, and what made it distinctly different from the others around it. Language can be in a form of art, music, or simply dialect.
One reason why this would work is the Palestinians and Israeli would both get the land that they have deserved, and have been promised. For example, from 1922-1948 the British controlled the of Jerusalem, the sacred land to both the Muslims and the Jews. Shortly after the British gave up power over Jerusalem in 1948 the British promised the Palestinians that Jerusalem will be theirs to control. Also this land symbolizes the Muslim faith, because this is where the “Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven”(Lisa Katz). This evidence here proves that the Jews can not deny the Palestinians the land the British gave to them, and also this is a place that symbolizes the Muslim faith.
