Potential direction #1 Watercolour and Copic markers This artwork relates to my concept of the dancers emotion as it includes a dancer as she is stretching in front of the mirror and the colours represent the emotions that she was feeling after dancing for a few hours, which is a happy and calm feeling as she know that she had finally got her dance perfect, which makes her happy which can tell by the smile on her face. The aesthetic quality that you get from this artwork is a happy emotion as she is smiling in the mirror in front of her. I am happy with the outcome of this potential direction, as this artwork is the image I had in my head, of showing the happiness on the dancers face and the colours around it also shown her emotion. The top half, which is the colours of blue and purple the emotion that they were feeling was powerful as the leg near her head is straight and strong which shows that she has all the power over that leg. And the bottom half of her body is light and dark green which represents growth as the top half of her is strong and powerful whereas the bottom half is not as strong compared to the top half. The materials and techniques that I used in this artwork is a greylead pencil, watercolour paints and a paintbrush, what I could improve for next unit is not to use a greylead pencil and to use a colour pencil so the paint wouldn’t go dirty.
