As a teenager myself I’m going to argue that, no, online time should not be limited for teens. While it is true that under some circumstances that online time can be negative, most of the time this isn’t the case and online time can be fun, productive, educational, and even teach good study habits and social skills. First of all, while your teen is happily typing out those messages to family, friends, relatives they are learning a skill that is used in almost any profession; typing, they are practicing their typing skills. According to the online article “10 Great Things Teens Learn While ‘Playing’ Online” by Christy Matte, on lines 8-9 Matte says “All of that multitasking online can actually help teens learn to type quickly.” This is important because like i said before, typing is a required skill for almost any job.
