Artist’s Statement

I am an undergraduate student at the University of California, Davis pursuing a degree in 3D and interior design major. Ever since I was born, art and design have always been my most favorite subject in school. My talent for graphic arts is talent. I enjoy all visual art and design areas, ranging from website design, cloth design, lighting design, to sculpture. Luckily, my skills are in high demand in the art and design commercial world. At the moment, my main area of interest is design, particularly that focusing on 3D model design and interior design. I am fascinated by the way in which objects, animals, and human forms can be brought to life forms in three dimensional in a paper sheet. It is deeply satisfying. Drawing

Apparently, humans and objects are a form in space that in themselves offer a variety of challenges to an artist so as to depict it with some realism degree. However, drawing humans requires a deeper understanding of art because it involves the inclusion of other aspects of emotions and personality, which can only be done by a talented artist. The Roski School of Art and Design at USC is known for the provision of the integrative cross disciplinary postgraduate education which does not only gives the principle of art and design but also paves the way for creative problem-solving opportunities through its conducive environment as well as adequate resources and connections in this sector. I am overjoyed by the idea that there exists many different approaches and perspectives to an artistic or design project. Having a Master’s degree in Design at the Roski School of Art and Design would equip me with the necessary skills on how to evaluate and analyze art and design so as to respond to a work in a creative way. Besides, it will teach me new skills on how I can develop my understanding of methods and materials towards the realization of my concepts as well as presenting my ideas in the most comprehensive ways to
