The Renaissance was a rebirth of ancient Greek and Roman culture. There was a renewed interested in classical texts. Key ideas influenced art, architecture, and new inventions. Man’s Altered View of Himself What would man’s everyday life be like if the Renaissance never happened? Would we still think that the Earth is the center of the universe and our bodies are affected by the zodiac? Throughout the Renaissance, people explored many new ideas, such as religion, anatomy, literature, art, and how the solar system was arranged, all of which altered people’s view of everyman (meaning mankind). Mankind made improvements in realistic art and people who looked more real. People also learned about themselves more, in a physical sense.
Many beneficial ideas and inventions came out of the Renaissance that are still relevant and have evolved over time such as the printing press, pendulum, and the re-introduced study of humanism. A piece of evidence that supports my claim is “Francesco Petrarch one of the first Renaissance thinkers re-introduced the study of humanism. He collected ancient Greek and Roman texts that had been lost after the fall of Rome. During this historical period humans stared evolving by becoming smarter and inventing useful recourses that have changed the world.
