Many scientists and government officials related to the Manhattan Project debated whether or not the production and use of the atomic bomb was ethically right. Robert Oppenheimer, the “Father of the Atomic Bomb” expressed deep guilt and shame about the outcome of his invention. The creation of the atom bomb came with many accounts of sabotage and spying, all in the name of war and science.
