The atomic theory is based on the discovery of atoms. The man that discovered them was Democritus 2500 years ago. The scientific method is a series of steps used to conduct a proper experiment. Why are the scientific method and atomic theory connected? The following scientists demonstrate the connections in their work: John Dalton, J.J Thomson, and Ernest Rutherford. Each of them has made discoveries that contribute to atomic theory using the scientific method. The scientific method, as stated earlier, is a series of steps used to conduct a proper experiment. There are about six steps in the scientific method. The first step is to ask a question about what you are experimenting with. this will what you want to answer from the end results of the experiment.
