In the book, To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, the phrase “to kill a mockingbird” is often used. Since the book is named after this quotation, it is easy to say that this quote is significant to the book. A mockingbird could symbolize peace. Killing a mockingbird is often used literally and figuratively. The two characters that can be considered a “mockingbird” is Atticus Finch and Boo Radley. Boo Radley’s events throughout the book show that he is a man of peace and care.
