Augustus which was the name of a man that was strong and selfless and created a way of life without a dictating idiot like most colonies of rulers. He had change the way of life in Rome. This is his very own story Augustus was a very successful man. “He created a city police. He also instituted a fire brigade (Fire Department) and he also embellished Rome with a number of public buildings” (Source 4). Augustus planned to plant Rome back in its roots and return it to its old glory. All together when he planned to put Rome back at its once lost old glory and created all these things to help Rome he proved himself as excelling. “Learning from his predecessors mistakes, he did not make himself a dictator” (source 4). When 27 B.C.E hit he had called a transfer of the state to free disposal of the senate and the people. The first example just automatically makes him a powerful ruler because most people hated dictators that made very strict laws out of nowhere and made people do hard force later just like Quin Shi Huang Di who was a chinese emperor and had forced laborers work on the great wall (Great Wall of China). He was so powerful and had so much success he was called Augustus Thereafter. He was also voted for 55 years as ruler then had been voted for life! This 100% Shows that he had been so powerful (in a good way) that everybody loved him as a ruler and wanted him to stay for a life period. After being so lucrative with being powerful he had a life in front of him when he had been voted for a whole life. Now that's an honour! To end off, Augustus had a very successful life and had a very strong and powerful rule in Rome. He had made Rome safer with police and fire brigades. He also did not make himself a selfish dictator like most rulers in the last millennium. Augustus's life had many twists and turns but he was one who could see how being a good and unselfish ruler could change an entire century of people.
