After reading the novel Twisted, written by Laurie Halse Anderson, I have become more aware of how different emotions and attitudes that people have can positively or negatively affect how they’re viewed by society. Furthermore, an individual’s attitudes and actions can also change their perspective of the world and the quality of their life. Early on in the book, we are introduced to the main character Tyler, who is an emotional, unpopular, and insecure seventeen year old senior who is hoping for things to change. What I learned from your book, Into the Wild, was that Chris McCandless, also known as Alexander Supertramp is a well known person for his expedition to Alaska with nothing on hand. He had no need for fundamental items as he lived in freedom and nature. He disliked controlling figures, the government and some may even say his parents. He began anew when he left college and donated all his money to charity to live in the wild.

The director, Baz Luhrmann, did an exquisite job at keeping the plot of Romeo and Juliet the movie exactly the same as the original. One of the few differences I noticed was that in the final scene when Romeo and Juliet are in the monument Paris was never there to mourn over his dead “fiance’s” death. This is a crucial scene in discovering out Paris’s true motive for marrying Juliet. The director did this so the scene was more sincere and even romantic. “The Notebook” built empathy within me painting the perfect scenery of true love through every beautiful line. According to the book “Nicholas Sparks: A Biography”, Estremera states, “The day after he and his bride tied the knot, Sparks heard the story that jumpstarted his career as a successful writer . He watched two wonderful people who taught him the true meaning of love die within months of each other.
