The director, Baz Luhrmann, did an exquisite job at keeping the plot of Romeo and Juliet the movie exactly the same as the original. One of the few differences I noticed was that in the final scene when Romeo and Juliet are in the monument Paris was never there to mourn over his dead “fiance’s” death. This is a crucial scene in discovering out Paris’s true motive for marrying Juliet. The director did this so the scene was more sincere and even romantic. Along with leaving out Paris the friar was overlooked by the director in this scene . This was also done to make the scene more sincere.
