Australian Schools Are Not Supporting Inclusive Education

Today I’m writing to you about the fact many Australian schools are not supporting Inclusive Education. Inclusive Education means that all students attend, and are welcome to all schools, and attend all regular classes with others. Those with disabilities should not be excluded, thus not being different from others. In my opinion, I feel that every child should receive an education. These children are no different, and so I ask that you read on regarding the social, emotional and educational benefits of schooling for all students.

Firstly, all students with disabilities and special needs should receive a suitable education with other children. It encourages them to communicate and participate in other activities with other children. Students with disabilities and or special needs should still follow the same curriculum and participate in class activities without being excluded. They can be included with others, and feel a sense of belonging hanging out with them and playing with them in and out of school. They start to develop some sort of self-confidence communicating with others, and feel a self of identity in the school yard with other children their age. They feel more included at school, and can even possibly develop skills that some other children may aspire to do or achieve. Every student can possibly learn something from one another, and so should be able to work in the same environment.

Thirdly, if all students are welcome to all schools, they have the opportunity to interact with others. They can talk with them and connect with them. They can learn manners from them, learn to be polite, and learn right from wrong, both with others and in life. They have the opportunity to play with others, in and out of school, and can make
