Some of the Nazi soldiers, if not all, did not agree with what they were doing, but the ever present authority of Adolf Hitler is what really drove them to do what they did. They killed because the thought was put in their minds. They murdered because they were told to. They, although atrocious, were not indefinitely responsible for their actions.
