The Aztecs were a Mesoamerican civilization that thrived in central Mexico in the 14th to 16th centuries. They were a highly organized and complex society with a strong emphasis on religion and ritual. Aztec life revolved around the gods and their rituals, which were performed in many temples they built. Everyday life centered around family, and the community. They centered their life to their communities to help each other.
The birthplace of the Aztec community would be the land of Aztlan. Aztlan was the place where the Aztec community would thrive and live. Aztlan would be known as Mexico now and Aztlan was known to be southwest of Mexico. The location of Aztlan is unknown to this day and the Aztecs were led by their god Huitzilopochtli. Aztecs thought they were chosen by their god Huitzilopochtli to protect their land.

The home was a place of safety and security, and it was the place of the responsibility of the family to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. They lived in huts in one room and the space would be big, the Aztecs who were wealthy would have houses with many rooms that was built around a courtyard. The family would also spend time together, singing, dancing, and playing.
Cooking methods during the Aztec period varied and often depended on the type of food being prepared. The most common cooking methods used by the Aztecs were boiling, steaming, roasting, and baking. They used “comals” which were round made ceramically by four stones which they used for powders and sauces and used to cook with too. They would cook over a fire and cooked tamales and other variety of foods.
The weapons the Aztecs generally used to hunt with would be darts, bows nets, traps. The other weapon they used would be a blow gun, which were typically used by nobles. The kings would also use them while their blow guns were painted
