Our everyday lives consist of advertisements, there is literally no escape, and for me advertisements that play heavy with emotions catch my attention more often than any other. The advertisement I choose for this analysis project is the BCSPCA (British Columbia Society for the prevention of curtly to animals) commercial featuring Sarah McLachlan and her atrociously sad song “Angel”. Now, a bit of background information on BCSPCA and McLachlan, BCSPCA is a non for profit organization for the advocacy of animal welfare, there are locations all over the United States (ASPCA) and Canada, like franchises if you will. These guys love animals and so it would be fitting that their motto is “we are their voice”, being that animals can’t speak and all. …show more content…

Once again the ominous black screen is back with the stark white letters “For Hundreds of others, help came too late “and again more animals looking sad. Now, it cuts to Sarah, sitting in a rather nicely furnished room on a couch with a dog, I presume it is her dog, and a pillow for comfort. This shows that you will be able to help from the comfort of your home .She introduces herself and then she begins to speak and the shot goes on to more abused animals and animals receiving care “will you be an angel for a helpless animal? Every day innocent animals are abused, beaten, and neglected. They are crying out for help”, all the while she has a deeply sad look about her. As this is happening there is a 1-800 number and a website on the bottom of the screen, she then follows with a request” for you to call the number on the screen and give a gift of a monthly contribution of eighteen dollars a month, only sixty cents a day and you will help rescue animals from their abusers and provide food shelter and love”. Moreover, she continues with “if you go online and join within 30 minutes you will get a free welcome kit and a picture of an animal in the shelter right now, one who has been given a second chance thanks to you”. So now not only can you give money to help but
