4:05 PM -I arrived at Diana Gitonga, Dwayne Gitonga, Durone Gitonga’s apartment. The living room, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen are clean. Sally Sesay is on the patio with Durone. Dwayne is on the couch playing his video game and eating takeout. Ms. Gitonga is on the phone.

With there limited pool of experiences, neuroscientists believe that babies dreams don't start taking the shape of ours for the first few years of life. Instead they believe the R.E.M sleep is for creating those pathways between different neuronal pathways, and in later years help with developing speech. Even when we are 4 and 5, most children were found to have plain dreams, were nothing moves or acts upon anything.
This activity is appropriate for the toddler age group. The toddlers will create their own sun catchers. Provide different colors of tissue paper and show them how we tear the paper. Then provide contact paper with the sticky side up. The toddlers will place the paper they tore to the sticky side.
Hi Laddies, MR did well last week a few days we had tantrums and aggressions but we were able to overcome those and have a great week overall. MR was very motivated by the jellybeans I had in my bag and was very willing to work for them to earn. He did really well when running the yes and know program using jelly beans for yes and no something not preferred. I plugged in most of the data but ran out of behavioral sheet so some of that data has to be plugged in. The stars near the programs mean I ran out of the data sheets which I did not plug in.

The reporting party stated when she drops her child at the center at 7:30AM - 7:40AM the infant has been observed with 1 teacher and seven infants on more than one occasion. According to the RP the additional teacher does not arrive until after 8:00AM. The RP stated all the infants were crying at the same time and that the teacher appeared very overwhelmed. The RP stated that toddlers in diapers were observed mingled with the preschool and school age children. The RP stated when teachers go to lunch the infants are strapped in a buggy and placed in the office while the staff person is performing office duties.
Throughout my time at Suffolk Community College, I have done a lot of observations and many hours of student teaching between the ages 4-7 years old. So, walking into an infant classroom for an observation was a first-time thing for me. The infant room was full of a lot of wooden furniture (example: cabinets, changing table, cribs, shelves etc.) and the walls are painted an eggshell white. The instant I walked into the entrance of the room near the door, right hand side there was a kitchen, with a sink, baby formula, utensils, baby bottles and sippy cups.
On 10/16/2015 an unannounced inspection was conducted, I was greeted by Theresa the receptionist who contacted Linda Young, Person in charge. Ms. Young arrived about 2 minutes later, I handed Ms. Young my business card and stated my purpose of the visit and explained what documentation I would need to complete the investigation. A complete walk through of classrooms and playgrounds including the Wellness Trail where incident occured was conducted. In the infant building there are 4 classrooms, which 3 are being occupied at this time. In classroom 1 of infant building Sue Ann Cozart was caring for 4 infants 7month-15 months.
The child reported that her mother had two sitters who care for her when her mother is working. Sofia indicated prior to the court proceedings, she spent more time with the babysitter. Sofia reported two years ago, she left the home to go see her father at his “garage”. She indicated that that the sitter ran after her cursing. On another occasion when with the babysitter, Sofia reported that she ran across the street, she indicated that she got away from the babysitter and ran to her father’s garage.
Toddler Learning and Development Introduction Unlike adolescents and adults, growth and development is different in infants and toddlers. Observations from the physical, cognitive and perceptual development show that toddlers and infants grow and develop at a faster rate than adults. The physical, cognitive and motor development in infants and toddlers is higher than the same development in adults. This paper is an analysis and interpretation of an observation conducted with an aim to understand the growth and development of toddlers and infants. It explains an observation of an infant boy named Taylor who is 8 months old.
Introduction: I observed at Kindercare Daycare located at 800 S. Arlington Heights Rd. Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. I was observing the Preschool and kindergarten classroom. The children’s ages ranged from three to five years old. There was at the most twenty children in the room that I observed in, and one staff member per classroom.

On Wednesday, March 15th I went to Christ the King to observe a child in preschool. The child I observed was a female and she was four years old. While I was there I observed her physical development, social and emotional development, thinking skills, and communication skills. For physical development, I observed her gross and fine motor skills. Her gross motor skills included her gait, balance, running, and picking up toys.
The school that I attendent to was the child development center. I was looking around the environment where child development is place at really quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood has a lot of tree and not really intersection road. I came in 10/19/17 it was in the morning around 10 am but they had a earthquake drill.
The classroom that I will be observing is a Preschool classroom at KinderCare Learning Center in Bartlett, Illinois. The teacher I will be observing over the next period of time is Laura Sturgulewski. She has worked at KinderCare for 8 years, mostly in the 2 year-old room until fall of 2013, when she took the lead teaching position of the Preschool classroom. Her classroom mainly has 3 year-olds, but on occasion has a mix of 4 year-olds and transitioning 2 year-olds. The number of students in her class depends on the day, because they are a child care center some students have a part time schedule, unlike an elementary school where children attend every day.
