We create a positive and secure environment, working to ensure all children feel safe, appreciated and important. We do this by being inclusive, treating each child as an individual and promoting mutual respect. One of the most natural factors of being an Early Years Practitioner is nurturing the children in our care, this is salient in creating healthy attachments in children. During this developmental interview, I chose to conduct an observation/interview study with my one of my cousin’s child. This child is a 4 year old girl and will be identified as “child K” in relation to her first name. Her parents had no problem letting me interview her, but I had them stay in the same room as us. The purpose of this interview was to observe the child’s physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development. I observed her behavior and gave her several tests to show how well she has progressed.

Assitive Technology - This could be where a child may not be able to hold a pen or write but they could use maybe an ipad to use a speical txt typing programme, this could also be they have special hear aids to hear. Over the past few months, the class has been discussing typical and atypical language development and the assessment and intervention of children with language delay or disorder. In line with this, the students were asked to observe children aged 0-12 years old with language problems for 2 hours. For this requirement, I went to a therapy center situated in Quezon City last November 16, from ten (10) A.M. to twelve (12) N.N. The center has multiple rooms that are used for speech therapy and occupational therapy. During my observation, two speech pathologists and two children with language disorder were sharing one speech therapy room.
Due to this what could take place instead is for the early years practitioner to gather other resources for the children to use for the activity or to just to begin a different activity for the children to join in with. The baby project is a huge topic to write about, no I don 't mean controversial I mean struggle, and how much this simple project can change your view in teen pregnancy and having to take care of a kid at this age. It may seem all simple and easy but thanks to this project we learned how hard it can all become at the end. As the "father" of the baby, I believe I didn’t do the most I could when came to taking care of a baby. I strongly believe I could had done much more to help.
Zoe has grown tremendously over the past few weeks I have been observing her. Not only am I observing her, but I am tutoring her in Spanish, Earth Science and Geometry class alongside with her peers. Zoe loves the attention she gets on center stage. I suggested she try out for the talent show her school is holding in December. She would definitely fit the part of any dance or acting skit she intend to perform.

Child A is four years old and was adopted by his new family when he was two years old. Child A’s disability is that he is missing his right hand. He was born like this. He has never received any type of therapy for the condition. He is enrolled at a daycare center where he has attended since the age of two.

Other behaviors observed (one paragraph): As stated above, Christopher was such a sweet and relaxed baby, as for 95% of the time he would just lay there in either his caregiver arms, or my arms. The only time he seemed to start to become a little uncomfortable was when I tried to feed him. Please keep in mind that I myself am not regularly around babies, so I was very uncomfortable to be around the child, and was not confident in feeding him, I was so afraid that I was going to hurt him or something. I was pleased to see that though he was exposed to drugs, he was not lying there like a vegetable, but rather he was responding, and displaying normal reflexes for the most part.
