When people aren’t aware of what is happening in their family’s life, there could be many bad effects without them noticing. This has been shown throughout many plays and books, and has also been shown in real life situations. William Shakespeare has written many plays that show this, including Hamlet, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet. These plays are all part of the tragedy genre but the one that is the most common is Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet , William Shakespeare shows that haste can lead to bad consequences in a teenage relationship when they aren’t thoroughly processing decisions. Shakespeare portrays Romeo as an immature teenager when he moves on from Rosaline really quickly and falls in love with Juliet for her looks. When Romeo is at the Capulet party he sees Juliet. When he is talking to his wife about the marriage, he was deciding what day to make the wedding. He decides, “ Monday, ha ha! Well, Wednesday is too soon. O’ Thursday let it be.-O’ Thursday, tell her,/ She shall be married to this noble earl -” (3.4.22-4). He made a decision and nothing was going to stop the wedding from happening. Lord Capulet thinks Juliet getting married will make her to be happy and not be sad anymore. After Juliet tells Lord Capulet that she will get married to Count Paris, Lord Capulet’s response is, “ Send for the County. Go tell him this.
