Cyberbullying has received increased public attention recently due to prominent stories in the media about victims who committed suicide as a result of bullying (209). Phoebe Prince is a devastating example of cyberbullying where she hung herself. There is a link between cyberbullying and suicide among adolescents. Studies have shown that exposure to cyberbullying increases the risk of delinquent behavior. Bullies are more likely to be boys but girls are victims of bullying (210). Females engage in different forms of bullying. Girls are subjected to indirect attacks than direct physical attacks. Indirect forms of bullying (gossiping, spreading rumors and social exclusion)

Do cyberbullying differ according to gender?
Cybervictimization foucs mainly on females. They are more likely to report enaging in this type of behavior than males. Causing cybetbullying to be a behavior primarly undertaken by females. For girl cyberbullying is a better way to influence social relations.
• Boys who perform poorly in school are more likely to enage in cyber bullying
