Females are most likely to bully verbally, while males are likely to take the physical approach. The lifestyle of the current generation of children and the parental role plays a big role in the rise of bullying. Kids today are so used to having everything handed to them and always having mommy or daddy to protect them, but it is becoming an issue. Everything is becoming standardized and taking a simpler, everyone wins approach. There cannot be any competition anymore because feelings may get hurt. The authors also make a great point when they mention that challenge is becoming unacceptable. I agree that it is insane to believe that everyone should get a trophy and that everyone wins together. It is important to have competition. Why should someone that gives minimal effort receive the same prize or outcome as another individual who put in a lot more effort? Losing is present everywhere in the real world. By teaching kids the concept of no one loses, it is setting them up for failure later in life. When they aren’t treated in a similar way by future
