Bullying can get very dangerous and life threatening, like suicidal thought because they want it over with, they could become a bullying when they get older, and more dangerous. Over 160000 kids from all around the world per year do not attend school for the fear of getting bullied, this is a big issue not only just for our school but all schools in Australia. As a former victim of bullying I am absolutely certain that the time has come for us and the community to stop bullying once and for all.
“While working at a hospital as a Registered nurse, I was being bullied every day at work I became withdrawn, severely depressed, I would break down and cry every day after work. It was a nightmare,” explained Nurse Jackie. Horizontal bullying should not be neglected it is a life-threatening problem affecting the healthcare. Nurse to nurse bullying in the workplace can have an impact on new nurses, the treatment of the patients, and lack of job satisfaction. Imagine being a nurse and additionally feeling nervous about taking care of a challenging patient or meticulously achieving all of the medical records.
Why do kids that are being bullied have a really hard time standing up for themselves? This is a problem because kids don't know how to stand up for themselves and commit suicide or cause them to be really emotional. Kids that happen to get bullied are scared to stand up for themself because they automatically assume that the person bullying them is way stronger than they are. Bullying is something we need to stop by teaching our kids to stand up for themselves.
I believe that bullying causes so much more trouble and that kids should stop bulling and be friends. First, I think people bully because they are mad at them or jealous of them. According to the article by Laura Modigliani people only bully because they connect with other kids that have things in common with them. But that’s not right people should find other ways to meet friends, like join a school club, or play sports, or go to game stores.
This is the first century and technology has never been better. It has become so advanced that it has opened up opportunities for jobs, learning, and bullying. It is now easier than ever to bully someone all hours of the day, and to make the bullying follow them wherever they go. Cyberbullying never used to be much of a problem, in fact it didn’t use to exist. But now with all the new technology, and all the freedom online cyber bullying happens everyday.
Bullying is a phenomenon existing as long as humans exist. The fact that it didn’t have a name for years doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a widespread way of behavior, in cases where two different types of people were involved ; the strong and the weak ones. Although bullying is considered as a form of aggression, or in some cases as an infringement of the human rights, “bullying is commonly regarded as an aspect of aggression”. (Roland and Idsoe, 2001), there are significant differences between them , the most important of which that “bullying is different from peer conflict. It is conflict between individuals that do not share equal physical and / or psychological power.

Despite the phenomenon being widespread among schools around the world, the highest number of bullies is among the American ones. According to the statistics of the National Education Association, one in three American kids in grade six through ten are targets of bullying (Engel). Some other statistics turn the cases of bullying into numbers, which reveal that there are about 2.1 million bullies in American schools, and the number of the bullied peaks at 2.7 million. The number of those students who miss school because they are afraid of being bullied is 160,000 (Kulbarsh).
Imagine holding a new born baby in your arms. Imagine what they look like, feel like, smell like. They can’t talk, can’t read, they don’t understand what is happening in the world, so how do some children grow up to be bullies. 45% of young people have experienced bullying before they have turn 18 but, no one is born a bully. So where do they get the idea to pick on someone, make someone feel bad about themselves?
You’re probably thinking, “Wow! Bullying seems so horrible. What’s being done to prevent it?” Well, there are many different ways people are trying to prevent bullying.
Bullying Can Be Prevented Bullying is a form of violence to pick on victims because they are different from their bullies, have insecurity/jealousy or home problems. The hate towards their victim has something to do with the victim having an unusual gift or being intelligent the bullies has yet to become. It is important that this behavior should be prevented or it will become worse. Bullying is one of the main issues public and private schools have to face on a day-to-day basis. When the bully takes it too far, the victim snaps and retaliates by fighting him/her back physically or verbally.
Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now. These do not means bullying was not happening, it means it was not taken into consideration by parents or teachers. They thought it was just peer pressure or a kids game, and sooner or later the kids would be friends again. At one point, bullies think it’s normal to be mean and abusive to other students.
Bullying is a widespread problem in our schools and communities and has a negative impact on students’ right to learn in a safe and secure environment without fear. It is a process in which one person repeatedly uses his/her superior strength or influence to mistreat, attack or force another person to do something (Van der Werf, 2014).
