There are so many interesting values in life we don’t realize as we continue living in the world. Most people have diverse kinds of perspectives on how to live a healthy life but don’t understand how. The story “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver demonstrated the concept on eating healthy. Local food is always the healthiest way to go because there are none to partial amounts of chemicals. A lot of people do not realize the significance in eating locally and healthy. This can be appealing to many people as cooking local produce is tastier and healthier. The message the author is trying to tell the audience is that being a locavore can be a very good idea. It may be a dramatic step to a better life. It’s like a version of the leap of faith but concerning your health. Kingsolver wanted to reach out to the audience and she did. With her significant background she can make a powerful message people can pass on to. You don’t have to be wealthy to make good local food. Everything from scratch is cheaper but takes longer to prepare and make. There are tons of unnatural chemicals when you don’t buy local produce. It’s cheaper but not worth the risk. Locally grown food is full of flavor and never dull on taste. Usually when I go to fast food restaurants I feel like I’m eating cooked plastic. You will notice a dramatic change in taste when you make your own cooked local food. The more nutrients the food has the more energy you will have plus local food supports the local economy well because it benefits the environment by helping small communities with reinvested businesses. The safer food supply local foods has makes it the safest way to go. Chemicals are bad and harmful to our bodies. Its best to stay away from chemically processed foods. The benefits of vegetables help maintain our blood flow. The potassium helps stabilize healthy blood pressure and may lower the risk of diseases.
