1,500 pounds of food each of us eats every year. Imagine that. Imagine how much aspartame, fluoride, BPA, genetically modified food, pesticides, high fructose corn syrup, pharmaceutical drugs and toxic vaccines that we all gladly consume every year. Since the introduction of food additives and unhealthiness, North Americans have experienced an increasing rate in medical problems such as obesity, heart attacks, diabetes and cancer at an alarming rate and it needs to stop, start supporting your local supermarkets where much more is fresh and farmers markets are a great alternative as well. That’s more then half. That means 1 in 2 Canadians are obese or overweight. That means that 1 in 2 Canadians have a dramatic increase in getting heart diseases, cancer, strokes, and type 2 diabetes. The problem with young people though, adolescence who are overweight or obese don’t grow out of it instead they continue to gain weight. Why? Because of what were eating! Statics show that everything we eat and drink, actually makes us less and less healthier. Were killing ourselves one granola bar at time. Yes granola bars, that yummy bar that your mom gives you for lunch as a healthier version of a chocolate bar. No matter how much fruit or ridiculous amount of fiber they are always extremely high in sugar. Not to mention the high fructose corn syrup. Imagine one hundred and fifty bags of sugar piled high in your garage, you’d think its disgusting right? Ironically that’s how much were all eating every year. People are becoming extremely malnourished from the fact that “improved” or “enriched” foods “have actually been stripped of their original nutrients, so the manufacturers add a few synthetic vitamins and minerals to artificially give it some nutritional value. The final products have fewer nutrients than the starting product and they are not well received by our bodies, as they would have been in their natural state.” Just because you can’t taste those anti-foaming agents in your condiments doesn’t mean their not there. Ironically, a person who is consuming thousands of calories per day might not even get the nutrition he needs for good health. If your diet consists of fast food take-out, large amounts of sugar or food additives, you miss the essential vitamins and minerals found in fresh fruits and vegetables. The consequences from doing so are serious. For instance, a vitamin A deficiency can cause blindness, while a vitamin C deficiency is responsible for a condition called scurvy, which results in dental problems. These food additives and the unhealthiness isn’t just affected our weight is will almost determine our life
