Barbara Walters, the first female co-anchor of an evening network news program, is well known for careers on the Today Show, The View, and 20/20. Barbara Walters is a famous American journalist who is known for her effective and signature style of interviewing other iconic figures. Barbara Walters was born on September 25, 1929 in Boston. In 1947, she graduated from Miami Beach High School. Later, Walters attended Sarah 2 Lawrence College which is located in Bronxville, New York. She graduated from this university with a bachelor’s degree in English. In 2010 this journalist was forced to undergo major heart surgery. Barbara vitally needed an aortic valve placement forcing her to take a four month break from hosting television. Later in 2013, Walters was then again hospitalized at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. In the final years of Barbara Walters, she has recently retired and celebrated her last day on The View on September 23rd in 2016.
