To understand the battle of Waterloo, it’s important to know that Napoleon had been trying to establish a European empire under his military dictatorship since 1804. The battle was with the British. The battle or the first attack took place at 12:30. Napoleon had tried to take them out knowing they would call for backup. As he had guessed they had called in for backup. Their backup was Prussia.
