People who work as vets have jobs that are very serious and interesting, many people become vets if they are interested in science and animals. Veterinarians are people that get to care for and help out injured or sick animals and even save their lives. The pathway for this job is agriculture and environmental systems. Becoming a vet takes hard work and a lot of time, you have to go through training/education and many work tasks.

The main, out of many work tasks for this job are to prevent, treat, diagnose and heal diseases and injuries in pets, perform surgeries, and prescribe medicine to the animals. “Effectively communicates diagnosis and treatment to veterinary medical team and client. Ensure the safety of pets, clients and team members by utilizing safe restraining technologies, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and lab.” says the US Bureau of Statistics. The industry for this career is animal science. Working often more then 40 hours a week they use surgical tools, x-rays, and ultrasound machines. This job can have individual work like explaining to a pet owner how their animals are doing or discussing payment plans, or can be group work done with many co-workers performing surgeries. …show more content…

For example you have to get your bachelor's degree and you have to get a DVM (doctor of Veterinary Medicine). A bachelor's degree takes four years and a DMV takes 7 Years. A program you can take is an accredited program, this program is where the content that you are learning has been approved by a peer review board. It is also required to get a license with the drug enforcement
