At a young age, there were many paths I wanted to go. I always wanted to be a doctor but as I grew into a mature girl, I had no hope in becoming a doctor because I knew that I couldn’t reach that goal. I had no hope for my future. Someone then came into my life and changed the way I thought. He made me realize that I can achieve anything I want as long as I believe in myself. Then I finally chose a path I want to go. Currently, I want to be an Anesthesiologist. My aunt inspired me to become Anesthesiologist because she’s one herself. She enjoys helping others, which intrigued me to pursue the similar path as my her. Also, the life of an anesthesiologist is very difficult when it comes to giving a patient the right amount of dosage, after a surgery. An Anesthesiologist not only controls the medication dosage but they also have to be monitoring the patient's vital functions during an ongoing surgery. If an anesthesiologist is not careful and focused, they can put the patients life in grave danger or more serious matters can occur during the procedure. The main reason why I want to be an Anesthesiologist is because I’ve always had a passion for helping people. One course I am going to take during my senior year is AP Psychology. The AP Psychology course will benefit me as an Anesthesiologist because I will be able to understand the human body and explore the mind-body connections. Also, I will get more honors classes and an AP English course for both junior and senior year to increase my communication skills and composition. During the summer, I am going to volunteer at clinics, hospitals, and elder-care facility to gain experience with patients. Also, with experience and knowledge I will know how to comfort patients and talk to them
