The Era of Romanticism Romanticism was a period of time from the beginning of the 1800’s until the end of the 1800’s; which included new approaches to art, mythical and legendary, musical and logical advancement during that period. There were many different aspects of this era that I adhered to; for instance the art and sculptures, the musicians, and the different types of music. The music of this age represented a sentiment of expression from the musician’s point of view. This particular music helped me to understand how composes/writers of music, unleash their point of view of day to day life struggles and obstacles through the writing of music. The one composer that I really took a liking to was Ludwig Beethoven‘s music was compelling to his audience. The way that the melodies are taken from his song “Barenboim on Beethoven "Pathetique" 1st movement was a piece that enhanced my ears to the classical music. Some classical pieces can be very subtle in its effect with its critics. The experience of being able to learn about the classical music and the ability to understand how each piece is played is astonishing. The sound makes me feel at peace and in-tune with my thoughts. The music has given off this intensity that has the audience in awe waiting to see how powerful each note will come out. The music provides me with a sense of patience instead of excitement. The music relaxes me. In my listening it encourages me because of knowing how each composer suffered from some type of issue but continued to move forward. For example, Beethoven was deaf and was still inspired to move on and compose music although he could not hear. In his music you can hear how his emotional presence was in each note with the rise and fall through the bars and rhythm that are played through each
