Divergent is a fiction novel and the author of this book become very famous after writing this book. She won the Goodreads 2011 Choice Award and the Best of 2012 in the category of Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction and she also won the title of Best Goodreads Author in 2012.

Summary:

During the orientation course, there were 2 sections, the 1st one was about fighting and survival skills, which Tris didn’t did a good job. The 2nd section was a kind of simulation which has their deepest fear in it and they’ll have to face it. Tris did a good gob on it. After passing the final test, all dauntless had been injected a substance that was made by the Erudite leader, Jeanine. It was made to control the dauntless people and kill the abnegation people. Only divergent were not being controlled, just like Tris and Four. Tobias was arrested during the attack and Tris’s parents both died. Plot: After aptitude test, Tris found out she was a divergent and she transferred into Dauntless. When she was almost going to graduate from Dauntless, the leader of Erudite, Jeanine, controlled all the Dauntless members and killed many of the Abnegations. Tris stopped her from doing so with Tobias. At the end of the story, they escaped to Amity and looked for help.

Conclusion: I think the story is interesting. The plot is very exciting and makes me feel very excited and wants to finish the whole book in one go. From the story, I learned that being special from others is nothing wrong and it can be a very good thing. Also, I learned that while facing problems, we should be brave and try to solve it and do not try to ignore it. Even though Tris found out she is a divergent, she didn’t think that it was a terrible thing. She realized what kind of person she was, and she knew what was the right thing to do. I recommend that everyone should read this book because the story is full of imagination and the author really sees through people’s mentality.
