Amir doesn't know why he needs to go against, all he knows is that Rahim Khan needs him to come. ¨ I lay in the dark of the night Rahim Khan called and traced with my eyes the parallel silver lines on the wall made by the moonlight pouring through the blinds¨ (Hosseini 194). Amir's Moral ambiguity comes in when he decides to come back to Afghanistan. He decides to come so he can redeem himself from all the evil things he did while he was there.

This angle creates a natural and realistic approach to the image given the fact, that it is at the observer’s angle, which creates a sensation of seeing the images as the viewer normally will do. This camera angle appears in most of the shots done in scene number twelve. However, it has a big impact on the shot done during Rahim Khan (Shaun Toub) and Amir’s (Khalid Abdalla) conversation. Khaled Hosseini, shows both of the characters to engage into a low intense conversation, both characters talk about how they have been, Rahim’s Khan illness and how Kabul and the country politics have changed.

It can be argued that betrayal can be shown in many different ways, and that deception of a loved one in any way is equally horrible. Hassan which was one of the main characters in Kite Runner was betrayed by many people throughout the book.
